Shipping Nail Polish Via USPS:

Nail polish is heavily regulated by shipping companies, especially USPS. We are required to affix stickers that read "ORM-D" to the box. These signify the material being shipped and tell USPS that the items cannot go in an airplane. They must be transported via ground transportation.

How does this affect you?

Depending on where you live, nail polish shipments only moving via ground transportation can take an extended period to arrive to you. We have seen 12 days in transit from time to time. About 1 in 5 of our nail polish shipments take an extended period while the rest are within 2-5 days.

If my item does not receive a tracking update for an extended period?

If your item does not receive a tracking update for 3 days or more please feel free to contact us. We will contact USPS and let them know a package has stalled in transit. You can also bypass us completely and call USPS directly at 1-800-ASK-USPS

Are there any other options?

USPS is the cheapest service available to ship ORM-D shipments so we use this service to save you money. However, there are other options out there. FedEx ships ORM-D shipments fairly quickly and has slightly different regulations related to nail polish shipments. However, when shipping via FedEx the cost is usually around $10 in shipping at the minimum. If you need to guarantee a 2-5 day transit time you may contact us at sales@pickapolish.com with your order details and request a FedEx shipping quote. We are happy to oblige.

Does this affect glitter and pigments?

No! All glitter and pigment purchases that are shipped via USPS first class mail are not regulated like this and will arrive within standard transit times.
